One of the games we played was against John Paul College, a purpose-built soccer academy, mainly for Koreans. These are boys who one day hope to make it as professionals. It was the only game we played in daylight.
The facilities were superb. Swinton & Pendlebury Veterans Bowling Club would have been chuffed to play bowls on the surface here.

The game got off to a bright start...literally...gorgeous sunshine...and then the lightning and the thunder struck...followed by rain.
The game was halted for half an hour before getting under way again...with Salford coming out on top as eventual 2-0 winners in a very competitive match.
